26 Songs You Sweatily Grinded To At A Party In 2009

And then you woke up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy, right?

“Tik Tok” by Kesha

~*~SwEaTy MeMz~*~ It’s hard to imagine a world before Kesha (and LOL this is when she still had a dollar sign in her name) but thankfully, “Tik Tok” introduced us to the garbage trash pop princess we’d all grow to love. “Tik Tok” was the song you had no recollection of sweatily grinding to the next morning.

“I Gotta Feeling” by The Black Eyed Peas

~*~SwEaTy MeMz~*~ Somehow this song ALWAYS came on when you were the perfect level drunk. This meant that when you heard it, you either started making out with whoever you were grinding with, or immediately found your friends and started dancing in a circle together. Thanks, BEP.

“Poker Face” by Lady Gaga

~*~SwEaTy MeMz~*~ That first “mah mah mah mah” introduced you to the iqoniq “Poker Face,” which is classic, pre-meat dress Lady Gaga. If you weren’t grinding to this song, you were dancing on the couch with your gal pals, chanting the lyrics, and trying to not spill your drink.

“Good Girls Go Bad” by Cobra Starship feat. Leighton Meester

~*~SwEaTy MeMz~*~ Who knew that it would take a mid-level pop punk band and Blair Waldorf to concoct one of 2009’s most memorable songs, but they did it and THEN some. This song played when you got a little bit of your drink on yourself while you grinded with someone, but that’s OK. And then of course you had to scream along at the top of your lungs with Leighton when she sings “BAAAAAAAD” at the end, DUH.
